Just before bedtime a few hours ago, I managed to lose my entire harddrive of data.
I was trying to destroy the Windows partition to use my Ubuntu 9.04 in its entirety, when I accidentally destroyed the Linux partition too. I have since spent about three and a half hour sitting here dressed for bed and trying to retrieve my lost data, knowing it’s gone forever.
I don’t care much about my music, or my video clips. They doesn’t matter. What I care about is the novel I was working on, of which I lost the last twenty-five pages. And ofcourse… I’m currently assigned as composer to a small film project. All my working files were lost, so now I only have my memory to go from, and a closing deadline.
To quote Homer Simpson: This is everybody’s fault but mine.
